2010

I wasn't really very excited about the new year here in London but because of the fun and enthusiasm that photography brought into my boring life, I just had the urge to attend the most celebrated welcoming of 2010 in the capital.

As a newcomer in the hobby of photography, I have a very limited knowledge about taking great photos especially with fireworks. The internet is one of the resources that anybody can run to whenever they need to learn something they haven't learned at school. I searched for tips and techniques on how to take great fireworks photos to be ready for the battle. I still remember my high school teacher always telling me: "maagto kaw sa gyera, wa kaw't armas?" So, I invited my Hungarian friend to come and take some photos of the celebration and the fireworks. He will be a comrade so whatever happens during the war, he can be of great help. We agreed to leave the house at around eight o'clock so at least we still have four hours before we arrive in the battle field.

The bus wasn't really congested, contrary to what we were expecting and it was free. The problem arose when we were told that the bus will not continue to the destination it flashes in front of it. Since it was free, that wasn't really a problem. So we took another double decker red bus to wherever it goes near the city.

After a mile walk, we were in Trafalgar Square with some of the people trying to squeeze themselves near the fireworks site. We managed to get some good photos...
